It's time for the Second Annual Locomotive Half-Marathon & 5k in Kennesaw! There's also a new addition: the 1 Mile. It's coming down the tracks, All Aboard! Proceeds from this race will benefit the Rosebuds, for which the 5k component has been renamed.  Rosebuds is an off-shoot of Team 65ROSES and parent organization Miles For Cystic Fibrosis. Cystic Fibrosis is not a 5k or 10k disease, it's a MARATHON disease.  That's why we're running..... Miles for Cystic Fibrosis. Hey kids, 18 and younger!  Run for a Reason.  Kids helping kids with CF. Join the Rosebuds Team to raise awareness and support for the Cystic Fibrosis community. You will be eligible for a Rosebuds t-shirt, goody bag and great incentive prizes for the top fund-raisers.  See Rosebuds page for more details. Imagine yourself running on rolling to flat, tree-lined, quiet, well-marked, courses with markers each mile. Water will be available on the course every two miles and at the finish. Don’t be intimidated by the half marathon, it’s walker friendly! The Half & Rosebud 5k races start at 7:00am on September 19, 2010. The 1 mile begins at 8:00am. Run & See Georgia Grand Prix points will be awarded for each race! Unique, train-shaped medals will be given for all finishers in the Half Marathon. Pasta Party on 9/18.
